Last night Snoop played an amazing hour and a half long set. Playing classics off of the Chronic, Chronic 2001, Doggy Style and making the crowd have a "sexual eruption". All that was missing was some forties, raiders starter jackets, and flannels to make this the ultimate throwback show of the year. More here.

If you caught them earlier this week at the Knockout and/or Hemlock, do share your impressions. The Brooklyn band's jangly Joy Divisiony guitars, fuzzy bass, and distorted Basso Profondo vocals were reminiscent of early Cure demos - think Factory Records gone surf...

Only complaint: the crowd...
